The Birrarung runs through the heart of Melbourne, and in Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre our Birrarung Gallery is the magnificent river-inspired space dedicated to Aboriginal art from South Eastern Australia.
The Birrarung Gallery is an area dedicated to creating understanding and public awareness of Victorian Aboriginal art and expression, celebrating the living and vibrant Aboriginal culture that we have in Victoria today. The Birrarung Gallery hosts three exhibitions a year as part of the Community Art Program which range from photography, sculpture and works on canvas to digital media and installation. Birrarung is a thriving space where you can see both new and emerging artists along with established artists showcasing the talent, stories and immense cultural pride of Victorian Aboriginal Art.
