Internships at Museums Victoria are short, unpaid work integrated learning placements for tertiary students studying in a field relevant to the range of Museums Victoria departments located at Melbourne Museum, Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre, Scienceworks or the Immigration Museum.
Applications can only be considered if:
At this time, students seeking voluntary placements, graduates, and other non-students are not eligible to apply for internships, but are welcome to apply for volunteer roles.
We do not have a generic 'intern program' that is run on a set schedule for a pre-determined number of students. All our internships are bespoke and usually based within a discrete project. As such, opportunities are not always predictable.
We are not currently accepting unsolicited internship applicants.
All our available internship positions are being advertised directly to students via the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) teams at the various universities, or negotiated directly through the University. We will only advertise for an intern when we have a position available.
Already an intern? You can log your hours, track your progress, and update your personal profile online on VICNet (Volgistics).
We are making improvements to our website and would love to hear from you about your experience. Our survey takes around 10 minutes and you can enter the draw to win a $100 gift voucher at our online store!
