The Museums Victoria Learning Access Fund for schools provides enriching educational experiences to students through free access to specific museum programs.
The fund is designed to support eligible schools that have not visited Museums Victoria (Immigration Museum, Melbourne Museum and Scienceworks) in the past two years and have a high number of students with social disadvantage based on the Student Family Occupation Education (SFOE) index or Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage (ICSEA).
How to apply
To apply, submit this Microsoft Form to request a general entry for your school.
How applications are evaluated
Applications are equitably evaluated based on the following considerations:
- The time required to fulfil the application is met (minimum of 3 weeks).
- Funding availability.
- Application status: Eligible schools that have not applied or been successful within the last 18 months will be prioritised.
Eligible schools:
- Have not visited any of Museums Victoria’s museums in the past 2 years; and
- Identify as having a high number of students with social disadvantage based on the Student Family Occupation Education (SFOE) index or Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage (ICSEA).
Please note that at this stage, we cannot cover the cost of travel.
Application conditions
We require 3 weeks notice to accommodate bookings. Bookings are subject to availability, and our friendly bookings team will respond to your enquiry with a confirmation email or alternative option if available.
