The idea for Joel & JD – The Beat 92.1 came from a personal interest in commercial radio and podcasts such as Jase & PJ (KIIS 101.1, Melbourne) and Bree & Clint (ZM, New Zealand).

Inspired by these, I created a Melbourne-based fictional breakfast radio show, hosted by Joel & JD, that was aimed at showcasing the best of commercial radio.
