Nocturnal is our monthly evening series exclusively for adults. Whether you’re looking for a Thursday night out in Melbourne or a unique date night, we’ve got you covered.

This month, dive into the forces that move us, from the laws of physics and motion to the ripple effects of protest and activism. Spark ideas and learn something new with a full program of expert led talks and tours. Ignite your creativity with fun activities for adults. Choose your own adventure with after-hours child-free access to our collections and exhibitions.

First Peoples

Through the voices and languages of the south-eastern First Peoples community, the First Peoples exhibition celebrates the cultures of First Peoples with its rich traditions of performance, storytelling, artwork, and knowledge sharing, set against the history of survival throughout the ongoing impacts of colonisation.

The Sunshine Harvester strike of 1911 ignited one of Australia’s most significant industrial disputes. Learn about the impact of this strike on the fight for the eight-hour day and it's lasting impact on the future of worker’s rights with a Museums Victoria Visitor Engagement Officer.
